Video from the installation, Spying on Derek Jarman: 2006
video length, 2 minutes

This was an installation containing a large box with a spy hole and inside, an enigmatic projected video. Derek Jarman was an artist and filmmaker, who in later life lived in an old fisherman’s cottage in Dungeness, Kent, close to where I studied my undergraduate degree. The footage in the installation was from when I travelled to Dungeness to visit Jarman’s home. The installation was in part homage to Jarman and spoke of my memory of a particular place and time.
